What I Take for Granted

With a world in turmoil, today my thoughts go to the true treasures I often take for granted and that I am so grateful for. Essential things, people, experiences that I hope to continue to enjoy after what the future brings, being a late snow storm or a forced change - which is always inevitable. I think of mental and physical health; the comforts that surround us in our homes; our family, friends and loved ones: kindred souls in life’s journey who enrich, challenge and contain us at our highest and lowest moments; not in the least important: the network of nature and life that - while jeopardized like never before due to man-made actions - remains somewhat stable and always splendid.
I am also so thankful I am free to do my humble work creating art and sharing my passion for art and for the natural world I am part of. My studio time turns any time into an oasis, a retreat. Being present in art making is my focus, my compass, and the colors, textures, dots, stitches bring me to where I belong. What are you grateful for?
I have some exciting news:
I am so honored to have been invited by the Cambridge Art Association to be guest juror for their Earth Day exhibit. The deadline to submit your works is Thursday March 19th. More info here.
I will be exhibiting in the upcoming group exhibit of i3C Artists and Guests: "Earth Day #57: What does this mean to you?" at Gallery 103 (2 Haven St, Reading, MA) from April to June 2026. Opening Reception: Friday May 1st (5:30 - 8:30 pm).
I am also working on other thrilling projects involving important collaborations that I will share on my next blog. Till then, stay safe and focused.
See you in May!
